When It Absolutely Has to Get There

Not every delivery carries the same consequences.

Sometimes a document has to arrive before a recording deadline. A package has to reach someone before they leave for the day. Or something simply has to happen today because the consequences of missing the deadline are much bigger than the delivery itself.

When that's the case, here's one simple thing you can do to give yourself an extra margin of safety:

Give us as much advance notice as you can.

That doesn't mean the package needs to be ready.

You can enter the order ahead of time and tell us when it will be ready. You can email us and let us know what's coming. You can even text our main office number with a heads-up.

Why does it matter?

Because advance notice gives us more time to plan.

We can pre-schedule a driver, account for late-day traffic, look at other deliveries already in progress, and have alternatives ready if something unexpected changes.

We handle time-sensitive deliveries every day, including last-minute ones. But when the consequences of a missed deadline are unusually high, more notice gives us more options—and more options give us a greater ability to make sure everything goes according to plan.

So if you're ever looking at something on your desk thinking, “This absolutely has to get there today,” don't wait until it's ready to let us know.
