Good Morning ,
As I am sure you are aware from the news reports. Protesters are going to be in downtown Portland today starting around noon. From previous protests, this is going to make traffic in downtown a real headache. With street closures an almost certainty, as well as the real prospect of the freeway's surrounding downtown being impacted. We will, as always to everything we can to prevent this from impacting our service or affect us getting your deliveries done on schedule. If it does become an issue we will keep you posted here as well at on Facebook and Twitter. You can also call our office at 503-262-0801 if you have questions regarding a specific delivery. Have a great day. Bill

Instead of making resolutions in the New Year that for some reason always seem to fizzle out; consider making S.M.A.R.T. Goals. Implement the following S.M.A.R.T. criteria and you are sure to set yourself up for success no matter what your trying to achieve in 2017. SPECIFIC- The more specific your description, the bigger the chance you'll get exactly that. Some things you may want to ask yourself; What? Where? How? With Who? When? And possibly the most important Why? MEASURABLE- Breaking your goals down into measurable elements. Giving you concrete evidence along the way allowing you to see your progress or adjust as needed. How will you measure your progress? ATTAINABLE- Honestly evaluate if the goal is attainable for you. If you don't have the time, money or talent to reach a certain goal you'll certainly fail and be miserable. That doesn't mean that you can't take something that seems impossible and make it happen by planning smartly and going for it! JUST BE HONEST! RELEVENT- Does your goal fit your life, your personality? Make sure it is relevant to who you are and no one else. The main questions, why do you want to reach this goal? What is the objective behind the goal, and what will this goal really achieve for you? TIMELY- Make everything tentative. Give yourself deadlines that are realistic and flexible. This will allow you to hold yourself accountable to reaching your goals but also give yourself room for speed bumps. Create a worksheet like this one to get started on outlining your S.M.A.R.T. Goals!!
My name is Sara Sue Lehman also known as Sara the Delivery Dog. I work at On-Time Delivery. I am half Black Lab and the other half I'm Mastiff and Great Dane. I'm a big girl who loves people, car rides, tug of war, playing in the water and chewing on bones. What I really love more than anything else is to play fetch with a ball.
I'm what some people call "ball crazy"! Just because I lose my mind when I see a ball and Bill and Stacey can't leave one laying around anywhere at home or the office. My job at On-Time is to supervise the humans in the office. I bring them my toys and random things in the hopes they will either throw them or want to play tug a war. I also allow them to pet me and since I don't understand the concept of personal space I will often times try to stand in their laps while they are working. Since I am tall I am able to look on their desks and at the computers, I keep an eye on their dispatching and I insure that your deliveries are getting there on time. You may hear me bark occasionally. It's only to scare the cat away that comes and sits outside the office window. I will be writing a monthly column in the On-Time Newsletter offering tips and advice on how to get the most from our service. If you have any questions or comments please email me at Sarathedeliverydog@otd-pdx.com Sara
